Beyond Washington: Strengthening Israel’s Alliances Post-Oct. 7 with David Siegel October 1, 2026

A Conversation with David Siegel, President of ELNET

As Israel faces growing diplomatic challenges and an increasingly complex global landscape, how does it strengthen ties to allies beyond the United States?

Join David Siegel, President of ELNET (European Leadership Network) for an inside look at one of the organizations quietly shaping Israel's relationships with political, civic, and security leaders across Europe. David is a former senior Israeli diplomat who served at the highest levels in the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

Europe is by far Israel’s largest trade partner and the EU is the top funder of Israeli science and innovation. Europe buys more Israeli defense systems than any other region of the world.

Israel sold the Arrow-3 missile defense system to Germany after an ELNET delegation took German lawmakers to a sensitive Arrow-3 site in Israel. The deal was worth $7 billion, making it by far the largest defense export in the Jewish state's history.

Learn how ELNET builds partnerships, responds to emerging challenges, and works to deepen understanding of Israel among decision-makers at a time when international alliances matter more than ever.

This conversation will offer a fascinating glimpse into the often unseen work of diplomacy, advocacy, and relationship-building.
